This Crumpled Paper

This crumpled paper
shabby and defeated
contains nothing but secrets
of some miserable broken-hearted

This crumpled paper just lies in the corner
not knowing how mean the world can be
through blabbers and fake promises
or vengeful conspiracies masked with sweet lies

This crumpled paper doesn't give a care
of how oceans rage and how skies cry
over the once-pretty mother nature
now foul, sinking, and dead

This crumpled paper happily enjoying its day
oblivious to the dirty heart of politicians
deaf to the mourn of desperate girls
blind to the misery of so-called human beings

After all, what a crumpled paper can do?
of deforesting jungles and dying animals
of trafficked babies and hijacked airplanes
of laundered money and manipulated bills

A crumpled paper will forever be silent
Let it crumple, let it be.
